What I like more about women's basketball over men's basketball is the stars stay in school so you get to follow them for all 4 years instead of 1 year (or sometimes even less than 1 year if they sit). Now that can change this year because Caitlin Clarke & Paige Bueckers can both leave school and declare for the WNBA draft, but there's a reason they are so well known........they've stayed at school along with countless others (Naz Hilmon @ Michigan, Aaliyah Boston @ South Car, Deja Kelly at UNC, etc). Also, unlike on the men's side, the ladies don't transfer as much or with as much regularity. It also helps Bueckers & Clarke that they have been at the same school their entire careers too. You have some of these guys with redshirts + extra covid year that transfer 3 or 4 times!

Edit: Clarke is a senior but can have an extra year in college because of Covid if she wants, so she wouldn't be leaving early like Bueckers (a junior) would be.

Thanks for thread. I finally looked into hype and watched the last 3 or 4 minutes of Iowa vs UConn game.

Those gals can shoot, both teams.

It was a good game, glad the Hawkeyes didn't blow it late.

I did not see the foul call on the pick late as being controversial or wrong whatsoever. The announcers and sportscasters lost their minds over this. You see a foul, call it.

Caitlin Clark alone doesn’t make the product more watchable than the men’s game. It’s still not even close when you watch both products objectively, rather than thru the lens of one legendary womens player. The men’s game has only in fact gotten better now that the NCAA rules committee got their heads finally out of their you-know-what’s and redefined again what a charge/block is, allowing more freedom of movement on the part of the offensive player. The men’s game is and will always be far superior. And for that matter, better than the Mickey Mouse brand basketball they call the NBA. Now I will say though that yeah, regular season conference play is worthless now thanks to all the dreadful realignment.
