Precisely. But I guess he had to show me how smart he is.

So, you're safe so long as you don't walk alone after dark. Sounds great.
People have stolen much more useless and less-valuable stuff.

Potted plants come to mind.

Default Park Blvd has gotten great

My wife, 2 kids and I moved to Park Blvd 6 mos ago and we love it here. Based on previous posts, the neighborhood must have chagned alot, and it still is with older bungalows getting completely remodled. It is a vibrant street with lots of bikers, runners, walkers, and dog walking. I read previous posts from 4-5 yrs ago about crime in the area, and I'm happy to say I don't see any of that. We walk the neighborhood at night and haven't seen aything to conern us regaridng our safety.

Walking distance to the City Park and Circa is great, plus all the neighbors are very tight knit and friendly. Coming from Houston this area reminds me alot of the Heights.

It's gotten some needed investment since then but overall a great neighborhood.
Be wary of a few blocks west of Park though, that's the hood.

I live in the Garden District and love it. Park is not as safe as other areas because the hood is close, but it is not nearly as dangerous as others say. Recent investment in those areas have made them much safer and better. Overall it is a great place to live and will soon be serviced by CATS the cities bus system.
