Alabama's advantange is its greenery. Don't lose that.
There is still plenty of greenery outside of Oxmoor Valley. Plus I said I would like the greenery to remain there.

There is always plenty. Until there isn't.

Your statements are contradictory.

There is also plenty of already developed land outside Oxmoor Valley that can be further developed.

I will say that I appreciate the recent turn of the conversation towards infill. I will end my rants now and go back to reading with interest. Since I think some differences are likely irreconcilable.

I concede that it would in reality be cookie cutter, but there is nothing wrong with light residential built "into the woods". I too want this asset to stay.

According to AL - Daniel Corp, USS and Leeds have come together with a plan to build a Ross Bridge style neighborhood at Grand River. Except this one is going to be bigger and "unlike anything seen in the Birmingham area."

I sure hope they've done an absorption study.

That being said, it really speaks to the eastward expansion of the metro.

Yeah really. Even though this thing is going to go in phases I would think they see the market poised for a huge upswing to plan this large a development. I was surprised to hear that it was going to be this big. I know talk is cheap but still.

The other thing I don't get is the Daniel Corporation as a partner in this thing. They wound up having all kinds of commercial properties foreclosed on in the market during the real estate crunch. I would have thought that would be a huge blow to their credibility as a player in the market.

But Ross Bridge is a success though, chinese drywall and all right? Maybe Leeds gave them so many concessions and is so hungry to be relevant and be a major player in the metro that they dont see the negatives.

id also think that their announced plans for grand view/trinity raises their stock in the area of public relations and perception.

What would be the negatives in something like this?
