It seem like when outside of Birmingham, they say the games are coming to Alabama. But when talking to the local media (Birmingham), they say the world is coming to Birmingham. I guess you have to please to other media markets when self promoting....

No way. I’m sure it’s ultimately up to the World Games committee, but I don’t think the City would allow that. Japan is also a special case since so little of their population is vaccinated. Even less than Alabama if I remember right.
