Looking at the numbers you gave above AL is in line with TN, LA and MS per capita which seems reasonable to me. SC's numbers are about the only ones that stand out IMO.
Yeah while AL's per capita numbers are in line with TN and LA, the difference is Nashville and New Orleans. Both cities a tier or two higher than Birmingham.

That doesn't jibe with Alabama's numbers being better than LA's, nor are TN's numbers that much better. What tier?

Wait a minute, there's a list of names? Of who? And for what may I ask?

Oh, he posted a list of like 10 names of people that see Birmingham in a positive light 95-100% of the time, while totally ignoring all the great things going on in other cities that make people with no dog in the fight look at Birmingham and go "so?"

Basically, if you don't pump sunshine up the city's butt, he doesn't think you should be taken seriously.

Heaven forbid someone point out that Birmingham has virtually no soccer culture.

The Legion FC season starts in May, right. Man I bought this black scarf from their headquarters about 3 weeks that was of a new design. Has the word Birmingham (in white letters) on one side and Hammer Down (in gold letters) with the logo on the other side. Pretty nice

Cool. I like the look of their merchandise too. It is a relief to have a team in a league that is professionally run with a good track record and probably won't evaporate overnight.

Figures.. My god yall this is not a Birmingham advertisement board.. Although, I think it's overtaken by BhamNow employees, that's not what this forum is about. I, for one, don't like being bullied by Mc or his minions. Reminds me of the Tourian days. Mc is probably Tourian.

"I, for one, don't like being bullied by Mc or his minions". Like, WTF. Oldbankhead, you see this ***** I'm talking about. Like, who wants to have an interaction with someone like that on the net. It's not that serious. Geez !! Now you see why I do what I do and keep it moving. It just isn't worth it. And here's the funny part. They "sunshine" pumps Huntsville, Nashville, Atlanta name on damn near every thread in here, but if we say anything positive about Birmingham, now we label as "sunshine pumpers". You are in a Birmimgham thread slurping other cities pee pee, but will dispute anything said about Birmingham. Now does that make any type of sense. The majority of cities have some form of a online media publication outlet that post news about the happenings in their specific city. I just don't get the mental makeup of people thinking. I just look at other city forum and just be amazed at how everyone just be feeding off each other comments, giving their news with no blacklash..just calm, smooth conversations. No disputing every comment, no back and forth nonsense, nobody getting called names, no mentioning of other cities, no of that. I just don't get, man....
