Have you heard of a local non-profit called Wish Granters, Inc.? They are non-profit based in Boise, Idaho that grants wishes to terminal adults (non-age related) in Ada, Canyon and Gem Counties. It was started 11 years ago, when the founder realized that Make-A-Wish does a great job for kids, but nothing like it existed for terminal adults (many of which have kids at home still). So he started Wish Granters!
Their biggest FUN-d Raising event this year is on Memorial Day, May 30th, at Indian Creek Winery in Kuna. There will be four local wineries, 4 local breweries, two food trucks and two bands. Plus there is a live and a silent auction. For more details, check out this link:

When I was asked to be on their Board of Directors four years ago, I had something personal that I had to share with them. My wife was the exact demographic that organization is patterned after! She had two simultaneous Stage IV uterine cancers and had a terminal diagnosis and had previously been CURED of Stage IV Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma! Now, I have served on their Board of Directors for 4 years and am the 2022 President of this organization.
My wife went to Heaven two years ago. We had a wonderful tribe of people (friends, family and community).
I have been slowly getting back on track and focusing on paying it forward. That is one of the many reasons I am so passionate about Wish Granters.
If you come to the event, please introduce yourself to me. I will buy you a few extra free sample tickets for the beer or wine. Hope to see you May 30th!
