There are a lot of restaurants in the downtown area that serve some of the best breakfast munchies in the valley.

Belgian waffle:

Goldy's
Bacon
Wild Root Cafe
etc
etc

All great choices. The Bob Deluxe at Waffle Me Up is amazing: melted Havarti cheese, over-medium fried egg, chopped bacon, maple syrup drizzle, topped with chopped basil. Their other stuff is great as well, but I can't get away from the Bob Deluxe

Bacon is always a favorite when we have guests in town. Everything I've tried there has been very tasty. It's on the heavy side, you won't go away hungry.

I would add to the list:

Certified Bakery in Hyde Park: Amazing breakfast sandwiches.

Blue Bench Brunchette on Overland Rd: Great food and atmosphere.

Hawkins Pac-Out on Bogus Basin Rd makes a surprisingly good sausage gravy breakfast burrito

Sunshine Spice Bakery & Cafe on Fairview Ave is quickly becoming one of our favorite lunch date locations. An excellent Afghan bakery cafe with delicious food and drinks. Saffron latte, cardamom latte, spiced tea... all great. The dumplings and stuffed bread are both amazing, as are the desserts we've had such as saffron pudding and pistachio chantilly blackberry tart. Glad they're doing well and are planning a second location downtown.

I went there the other day and was quite impressed as well. I will be back to try some of their baked goods!

Any food trucks? They can be just as expensive as a restaurant.

Who writes this stuff? Wienerschnitzel isn't the 'most wanted' California restaurant chain.

Lots of great food trucks in Boise. We walked over to the Green Acres Food Truck Park after floating the Boise River for beer and ice cream, and some wonderful ribs from Rib Shack BBQ.

This looks promising - experienced restaurateurs from San Francisco opening an authentic Thai place in Boise: https://www.aol.com/news/boise-san-f...110000329.html My understanding is that the owners of Nahm (wonderful place) are also from San Francisco. Not sure I'll go opening night, but plan to give it a try soon.
