I stumbled on this place on my way home once. Hands down the best wrap and falafal i've ever had. I drool thinking about it.

Anyone else hit up this place?

I'll shamelessly admit I took the T there and then an Uber back to Allston since I don't commute through there anymore.

It's a semi-frequent spot for me since I live in the neighborhood.
No one can agree on whether to spell it "felafel" or "falafel" or neither, but the place you write of is properly known as Moody's. The "palace" part is a take-off on the fact that the tiny building housing it was originally a White Castle some 80 years ago.
The counter guy hacked off his famous mullet, and the place has gone cash-only, but little else has changed over the past year let alone the decades. Thursday through Saturday nights they're there until 3 AM, otherwise they close up shop at 11 (still late for the area.) And my go-to dish is still the lamb shawarma plate.

I've been eating there since it opened in the early 90s and a falafel wrap was two bucks. Some of the best Middle Eastern food I've ever had. I don't live in Boston anymore but will hit it if I am visiting and happen to be in the area late at night.

Actually, it wasn't a White Castle restaurant but a White Tower restaurant... much cooler imo. The MIT Press has a book on White Tower restaurants. Lots of black and white pictures. There used to be one in Boston's Chinatown and it's something like a jewelry shop now.

I have an old White Tower porcelain mug that I found in a Goodwill Thrift shop.

BTW there's great falafal in the food court of the student center at MIT.

Best Middle Eastern food I've had has been Rami's. Theeee most amazing hummus and falafel I ever had anywhere. Try their falafel hummus salad plate.

I've never tried Moody's but will give it a whirl. I really can't fathom it being better than Rami's.

Has anyone here been at both?

Since the thread pertains to a specific place, I'm not going to answer a question that will take it off in a different direction.

Is Rami's good? They're at City Hall Plaza (5 min. Walk from my office) once a week and I wanted to try them but the reviews online are so-so. Line was long last week though.
