I have always taken a shuttle bus to Alewife but I now need to park there. When you exit Rt 2, I have seen some cars take an immediate right off of the access road into a steep ramp that circles and crosses overhead to the parking lot. other cars just drive up and turn left into the parking lot at street level. Which one should I be doing? Is the first method for special type of people like monthly pass holders etc? looking for the best way to get in so I can park easily (say around 7:45 AM week days) and get out in the evenings (around 4:30 PM). thanks

They're both entrances. One puts you up top, one has you on the bottom. There's escalators to each floor anyway, so it doesn't really matter where you park in a convenience sense.

The ramp that's the immediate right turn off feels like it should be condemned, but it works.

Isn't 7:45 am kind of late to be arriving there? I would think it fills up by then, or close to it.

In my limited experience, yes. Most of my reference points have been during construction, so lot size was obviously limited.
