I find it's often more busy during Sunday brunch than on Saturday. Toro and MIDA's going to be just as busy on Saturday as DCBK. That said, I believe DCBK is doing renovations (or is otherwise closed temporarily) and may not have re-opened yet.

In thinking about this more, I'm not sure the South End is a good choice for the OP unless they're open to piling into a Lyft. From Seaport, they'd need to go red -> orange fo T (or silver #4/5) and none of those are great options.

One of the tapas places in Brookline is always fun, but will likelyy be a bit of a wait on Saturday night so be ready for that - Taberna De Haro or the Barcelona Wine Bar are both great. On street metered parking or the C line for either one of those and they both have outdoor seating (Saturday will be a nice night).

Have fun.

I hate to rain on the parade, but availability at a good restaurant on a Saturday night without a reservation is an oxymoron, unless you go either very early or very late.

I love Aquitaine in the South End, and try to go there every time I visit Boston. But I would never try to get in there even on a weeknight without a reservation.
