The corrib in west rox feels pretty irish authentic.

Greenhills bakery in dorchester.

The blarney stone in Dorchester is owned by a guy from Ireland.

Banshee on Dot ave comes to mind.

The Irish presence can’t all be pubs and St. Bridget’s Catholic Church.
Yeah, Adams Village (Dot) has a bakery and bars. Brighton has Irish grocery but I forget the name.

Blarney Stone gives more JP/Dorchester vibes than Southie. I ate there frequently ~2013-2017

The real Southie vibe in Dorchester was the Centre Bar, it is now condos.

Also the Adams Corner market has a butcher and Irish groceries. Eire Pub is still there as the only Irish pub I can think of remaining. Gerard's was replaced by the Industry (not Irish at all).

Overall I think people in the area want more upscale places to go to. If they didnt more of those Irish bars along Dot ave would still be in business. Many have closed over the past 10-15 years.

Yes.

I would called the Corrib Irish "themed", but nothing really authentic about it.

It reminded me of some of the restaurants in Ireland.

Even Ireland has become more upscale in many places. Dublin/Galways arent exactly low rent cities these days.

You mean by the decor? I mean...the food, music, vibe is all typical American or "Boston". Ireland is changing as well, but most "pubs" there still generally have a far more limited menu vs. a "restaurant". The Corrib does have good Guinness, I'll give them that.
