The aura of invincibility is over for both GGG and Gonzalez. Both had much tougher fights than predicted especially Gonzalez who looked like he got mauled by a bear after the fight.

Well there is certainly a dent in their armor but each of them won convincingly against world class opponents. They weren't fighting journeymen or washed B-rate opponents. I still don't see who is going to defeat GGG between 154 - 168. Not saying he is unbeatable, but no one is in a big hurry to fight him at 160. Eubanks Jr. Priced himself out, Saunders hasn't shown serious interest and Canelo fave up his title so he wouldn't be forced to fight him. Jacobs stands the best chance of beating him but I don't see him pulling it off. I think these fights spoke more about how good Brook and Cuadras are and not so much the vulnerability of Gonzalez or GGG.

GGG seemed invincible after how people praised him but after last weekend's fight, not so much. Yes he may show punching power and a good jaw but he telegraphs his punches quite often, walks in straight lines, no lateral movements, no bobbing or weaving, which Brook seemed to take advantage of in some rounds connecting uppercuts with ease. Not the fastest guy out there but he still has what it takes to remain up there on top of course.

I agree with your statement on Gonzalez. Though the decision was correct, I think had this fight gone the old 15 round length the outcome may have changed. Cuadras was doing damage and was getting more confident.

Didn't see the other fight.
