I'm 61 and have been alone since 1995. After devoting the past 30 yrs. to my children it's time for a new life. I moved to Sarasota, Fl. 7 months ago but the heat is too intense for me and I miss the changing of the seasons. I lived in Denver for a few decades once upon a time and fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and the wonderful way of life on a ranch. I'm healthy, active, health conscious - but lonely - and seeking a mate of consequence, a new home, and a part time job to keep me busy.

In my research I haven't been able to ascertain if there are any singles groups in Bozeman, or other avenues as a way to meet new people. Short of placing an ad in the daily newspaper for a husband, which seems rather cold, I would like to know if there are any eligible men my age. It's difficult to gauge such a thing without actually living in the area.

There is a Senior Center that is very active in Bozeman, with members from age 50 up.
It is very active, with lots of members and activities. Here is their web site:
Bozeman Senior Center

There are many organizations in Bozeman to meet people, from bird watching to folk dancing.

You can also take dance classes to meet people:
Dance Classes and Dance Lessons in Bozeman Montana

There is a vital group of Tango and ballroom dancing fans in Bozeman, very cultivated
by the teacher at Have Fun Dancing. I can recommend it.

Also check out this club to find people to socialize with, whether on hikes or going to
Shakespeare in the Park performances:
Bozeman Adventure Club (Bozeman, MT) - Meetup

For an idea of the job scene, join the Montana Department of Labor Job site for Bozeman:
jobs.mt.gov
https://jobs.mt.gov/jobs/login.seek

Being in a group activity that you enjoy, I think, is the best and safest way to find people compatible
with you.

Hope that helps.

H.I.

Perhaps one of the internet dating sites that are specifically for farmers, ranchers, country living, or like would prove helpful. I know someone that found his wife through a lonely hearts for farmers magazine website.

I would second suggestion of getting involved in group activities you enjoy. And get a part time job that is fun and has lots of people interaction. Being a volunteer docent at the museum would be interesting way to meet people.

You will be more likely to be introduced to someone decent through a new friend than any other way. Get a dog and take it for daily walks or volunteer to walk dogs from the shelter. Get out and about. Join clubs.
