Anyone frequent the Logan gun range? Would love to meet some like minded folks in the area and figured this would be a great venue.

I'm trying to get out there Thursday evening to get signed up and get the new rifle sighted. Sounds like the clays area is first rate and a great place to break some blue rock before bird season too.

Thanks.

I used to go there quite a bit when I lived in that area.
Loved the range, but boy the wind can hit there every so often!!!

You get a 40 mph cross wind and it can make it difficult to hit the target My favorite was the long range rifle area. Good place to practice extreme long range shots.
Logan is where I learned to shoot silhouettes with my handgun out to 200 meters.
Silhouette Handgun Shooting

Logan was where I shot trap for the first time. I haven't been there for a while, but it used to be a great place to burn some powder and shoot the breeze, (so to speak)
I usually went there with my friends, but there are usually folks out there and most seemed to be pretty decent people and very ethical with their handling of weapons.

Wish there was as good a place in Helena to shoot. There is a range up by Mac Pass, but I was hoping the sporting clays range that was planned for Townsend would get going. They did quite a bit of work on the site, but I haven't heard that they ever got it going.

Thanks MT. It does look like it could take a cross-wind!

I'm anxious for the long range area as well.

Wow. Incredible facilities!

Finding someone to get an application and sign-up is a bit trickier.

Impressive place though!

I frequent the Logan range, though I have never shot clays. Have 2 shot guns but never got around to learning it.

To get an application for the range just stop by any sporting goods store in Bozeman. I know that Wholesale can get it setup for you for sure.
