October is the start of santa ana winds. It gets very hot & humidity drops to dangerously low levels. I always feel anxious when the wind blows strong sucking moisture right out of plant life. Invariably, fires breakout [some started by psychos
and people who live in the foothills go into crisis alert.
I used to like the change in weather October provides [warm days\ mild nights \ low humidity]. But the fires over the past 5 years [San Diego\Orange Co\ LA-Malibu] were humongous & thousands of people lost their homes.
Even the Bay Area has experienced deadly fires in this month.
Anyone else dread October?
