Why didn't you knock on the door and ask them to raise the steps or move their vehicle so you could mow your lawn?
It really is not as complicated as it sounds, perhaps put a sign up to not block the drive or lawn.

Just to remind you that most people who travel or live in their RV are not like that person. We avoid private home areas and stick to commercial places when we park for any reason. That person may have been visiting one of your neighbors although that is no excuse to be partly on your property. But that is nothing I would allow myself to get upset over. You could always go back when they leave and mow that 2' section.

If someone 'camped' in front of my house I would give them directions to the nearest WalMart.

With a black permanent marker on the side of their RV.

We travel in an RV and have NEVER parked on a city street. We either park in a campground, rest area or shopping center (at the furthest point from the stores). Being 40' plus tow, I couldn't imagine trying to maneuver to park on a city street.

And they may come back in the middle of the night and break your windows, poison your dog or worse. There is no law that an RV cannot park in a public street. No one "camps" in a public street. And in most cities, the grass and any trees at the curbs (between curb and sidewalk) is city property, not yours - unless that's all changed now.
