Question on Seasonal Campsites and taxes (trailer, rail, take)

If I have a travel trailer on a seasonal campsite, are there any tax advantages ?......interest on travel trailer payments tax deductible as a second residence ?.....tax deduction for site rental for the season ?

Not unless you can convince the IRS that it's your home office.

There are no mortgage interest deductions for second residences.

You can't call a trailer payment a mortgage, as it's not on real property.

And the whole home office thing has been so abused that filing with deductions for a home office will pretty much guarantee you an audit.

Rabbit33 is right. I use our trailer as my home office for telecommuting, but no way would I try to take a tax deduction. That would be a red flag for the IRS to audit me.
