Trivia...Windsor is at the exact same latitude as Boston, MA.

Weird thing for me is that London, Ontario's climate is no better than Toronto's ...
in fact it is actually worse....as London is in the bullseye for lake effect snow ...
located being between two Great Lakes.....Windsor and Chatham are definitely in a warmer zone...
London, Ontario average temps, yearly, are no better than Toronto...

The only other real Ontario "banana belt" is in Niagara Region....comes closest to Windsor-Chatham...
record cold temps are relatively mild....good for growing tender fruit...and there are now many vineyards..

I'm debating between moving to Windsor or the Niagara Region (St Catharines). I assume each will be warmer than Hamilton which is where I am now.

How much warmer IS Windsor by comparison?

Check the weather forecasts and annual averages for Detroit, MI and compare to Hamilton, that's all.

I used this analysis https://weatherspark.com/compare/y/1...r-and-Hamilton

but it still doesn't really tell me qualitatively how much warmer it feels. Yes I know it's on average 2 degrees warmer and that the summer warmth starts earlier and ends later, but I was hoping more for a personal anecdote on if this feels significant, from somewhere who's been around.
