I do. It's pretty good. They come in different sizes so the effectiveness of an air purifier is dependent on the size of the purifier being adequate for the size of the room(s) being treated. If you're thinking of getting one you should measure the square footage of the room(s) you want to treat so you will get the right size of machine.

Two summers ago I got a portable apartment size "Winix" purifier at Home Depot at a reasonable price. It's quite powerful. This was during a heat dome after I observed how well a small office size one and a large lobby sized one treated the air in the residence manager's office and in the large front entrance lobby downstairs. I noted they also cooled the air considerably too which was an unexpected bonus !! But they are not air conditioners and don't get cold like an A/C, they're just purifiers. They do help to remove odors from the air too.

I'm happy with mine, I have it running today because the smoke is thick and choking and all the windows have to be closed. I also broke down and got a small portable air conditioner. I have that running right now too. They work well together when it's smokey like this. The air and temperature inside is comfortable. Several other tenants in the building have also gotten purifiers and/or A/C's for their apartments too during the past 2 or 3 years.

Thanks, Zoisite!

I’m glad you have an air conditioner as well.

It's been mentioned that evacuating Yellowknife to the nearest place of refuge is equivalent to driving from Copenhagen to Paris.
