Click, click, click.....all done!

And...........I have a new cat......even though I said "This is it" at 6.

On Oct. 29, Sat., a stray cat ran into my garage when I had the little door open to carry in some things. Well, of course I had to pet him......he was lovable, so..... well..... then I had to feed him...... He is an in-tact male....so...I thought.....I will just get him fixed and let him go. Then I thought OMG.....it is Holloween and he is a jet black cat.....somebody might hurt him......so I decided to lock him in the garage until Halloween was over........he thought otherwise.....he climbed up into the rafters and broke out the soffit to get out.

Called my neighbor to fix the soffit.....turns out he has been feeding him since around June. {he has 16 cats and feeds the neighborhood strays}

Well, my "stray", now known as Barney.....came back every day.....so, on Thursday he went to the vet......no leukemia or aids.....thank goodness........now he is in a cage under the kitchen table.....getting to know his new brothers and sisters.........the only one who is happy about it is my dog, Lucy.....she is thrilled.....she LOVES cats.

The one who is the most p****d off is Charlie....who happens to have aids.... He is the last one I took in.....last December....after much thought, deliberation and discussion with my vets.

I got Charlie worked in with no biting....just swatting and screaming......now I hope that he and Barney can work things out without Barney getting bitten by Charlie.....this is going to be more nerve-wracking than normal.

My neighbor and I are pretty sure that Barney is the daddy to a litter that a mom has stashed in a neighbor's outbuilding. She abandoned one of them....my neighbor is keeping her....she was only two days old. Barney had that damp, musty smell....so we know he was staying there too.

Anyway.....he is going to trap them all, one at a time....take them to the vet and get them all fixed and let them go.....I am going to pay the bill....that's the plan. {unless we can get the vet to put them in the cage out front to find them all homes.....right now....they are all filled up}

I have been locking up my original 6 and giving Barney roaming time in the house.....will eventually start letting him loose with one cat at a time.....going to plug in the pheremone diffuser....just in case it may help.

Probably save Charlie's intro for last.....any helpful hints are welcome.

Seven is supposed to be a lucky number, right?
