Should I move to Mount Pleasant, SC? PROS/CONS? (Charleston: to rent, pros and cons)

Hello All!
My husband and I are considering relocating to Mount Pleasant, SC from out of state. I have visited Charleston, IOP and a bit of MP over the years and have always loved the area. Jobs are not an issue with our move. What are the pros and cons of Mount Pleasant? Are there any major reasons why we should not move there? Is there anyone that has regretted moving there? Thanks!

Mount pleasant is a very nice and varied community that many people love living in. I'm sure there are some people who found it didn't suit them but your question is awfully open for us to give a useful response. If you give us an idea of your situation, we might be able to recommend how well it would suit you. Are you looking for a retirement spot? Do you have children? What kind of budget are you working with and are you looking to rent or buy?
Most people who come here are happy in Mount pleasant but other areas of Charleston are also nice for their own reasons.
