Quarrier Diner to reopen in September * - News - The Charleston Gazette - West Virginia News and Sports -

This is great because that is truly a staple of downtown casual dining. Now if someone would reopen Blossom Deli then it would be go time again.

This is great news for those who love getting lunch downtown a and appreciate good architecture. However, that last quote, though true, left a bad taste in my mouth. I know Charleston has a long ways to go, but it seems to overshadow the progress that's been made over the last few years.

No, it's only going to be open from 11-2 for lunch. Hopefully they'll do well enough to expand their hours in the future.

Pity when I think of a diner I think of coffee and pie or breakfast food late night or earl morning.

Me too. I guess they are dipping their toe in to test the waters first.

There was a time I wouldn't bother driving to Charleston but we now go quite a few times because it really is now a nice city but it is odd how it all closes up after dark.

Anyway, if I'm in town for lunch I'll have to try this out.
