Looks like we will start seeing some work on Park Place, as they plan on putting some rock down as a base layer for the development. Mayor Mullins said that the center could be open for business by 2022, but I’m not that optimistic based on this company’s current progress speed (lack of) on other projects.
Or it could be open by 2024...Since the project is waiting on fill dirt and material from the Davis Creek road project, it's hard to tell when any real work will begin.

I forgot that we are also waiting on the state to do their part! New estimated completion date: June 2034 lol

When I drive around Jefferson Road and look at where that work will be done, it looks more likely that they will NEED dirt rather than have dirt to spare to send over to Park Place.

Unless, they plan to dig down for that road project? I haven't checked the elevation on the renderings or fly-by video they made for it.
I believe they are going to cut into the hillside for their added space. They should have plenty of dirt if that’s the case.
Possibly so. It looks like the first house (and possibly the second) on the Kanawha Turnpike side of Jefferson Road is abandoned. It has weeds growing up the gutters all the way to the roof. They can't build on the other side of existing Jefferson Road. Davis Creek is there. It seems like they'd need a lot of dirt to lead up to the bridge over the railroad tracks. I guess we'll see. It will certainly be a mess down there while construction is going on.
Just a thought I had, but I wonder if the Harley Davidson location in Spring Hill would be a good fit to relocate to Park Place once it gets underway. That Harley dealership is old, and a new location right off the interstate would help both them as well as the development attract better businesses. A modern HD dealership right off the highway would catch people's eye.
