I am looking for a good massage center in south charlotte. I really love Urbania but didn't like Ballantyne resort. Zen is pretty cheap but I would just like to get some good names of some therapists. Anyone use someone they love?
Yes, Susan Stephenson. She is in Charlotte MWF (near Presby Hospital on Randolph) and in Concord/kannapolis Tues and Thursday. Her normal rate is $60 per hour and she offers a 25% discount if you have Cigna or Blue Cross, so it is $45. Her number is 704-533-6332. She is an all around great person and is also licensed it acupuncture. Many people I work with have gone to her and everyone loves her.
I am going to SE School of Massage on Friday as they have student clinics for $25 and no tipping is allowed. The clinics are Fri and Sat 10-2.
Welcome to the Charlotte Campus of the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage - A Serious Education (http://www.southeasternmassageschools.com/schools/charlotte/charlottehome.html - broken link)
Charlotte Masaage and Bodywork Center has some great therapists, however their normal prices are high. Index
Concord is a little far from me..She sounds great though. I am in south charlotte. I just talked to Masage Envy they sound good too but I hate that you don't know the therapist!
I highly recommend Annette Tucker. I've had massages all over and she is truely fabulous. She is at All About You @ 1700 East Blvd. (704)295-0744. She works Tues, Thurs & Saturday. $65/hr or $85/hr and a 1/2
You should check out Zen Massage Center in Ballantyne. 10844 Providence Road Suite 225. 704.847.3400. You'll love it the moment you walk in the door. Beautiful!
I know that this sounds pretty stupid, but I'd like to know the difference between Zen massage, "regular" massage and deep massage. I go to physical therapy with some frequency and my therapist does what she calls a deep massage. When I was in Bangkok a few years ago I had several Thai massages done by Buddhists. Both types were WONDERFUL. But I still don't understand the difference between the various types. Can anyone explain?
