Carmen! Carmen! is celebrating their Quarter Century Milestone by rolling back thier haircut prices to 1983. They're charging $20 for haircuts till the end of the year.

I've always wanted to go there. Does anyone know of a good stylist there? I want to try them, but I have very thick hair that most people don't know what to do with, so I haven't found anyone very capable yet.

Any suggestions?

I go to the one in the University area, off of Mallard Creek. My stylist is Tonya. She is wonderful. I won't let anyone touch my hair but her.

Well, I went to Anya at Carmen Carmen in Ballantyne on Tuesday and paid my usual $50 and got a brow wax for $18. My daughter also went that day and paid full price. Not a word about a special price. When did this special start and where did you hear about it? (Maybe I can talk them into a refund!)

Well, I called yesterday and was told that the special pricing was for their young stylists only. Since I didn't want to put my difficult hair in the hands of a newbe, I opted for Nathan. It's a lot of $$$, but I only get a cut a few times a year, so I figure it's worth it.
