OK, all you NJ transplants....I know some of you were Atlantic City regulars!
Where do Charlotte dwellers go to play some Poker, or Blackjack? I'm not interested in slots, we need Craps, Poker, and Blackjack.thanks!

Hi rscap!

Remember: you are moving to the Bible belt. Gambling is much less established down here due to many churches' strong opposition to it.

With that having been said, you will want to read this:

The closest place is to head towards the beach and get on the casino boats. Still, quite a bit different that AC or Vegas. Cherokee is, IMHO horrible. The video gaming thing just doesn't appeal to me, and it's like you've entered into a time warp the way people walk around in a daze...not worth the drive for me.

Cherokee does not have table games, all video. Even the "dealers" at the blackjack "table" are not like what the OP is looking for.

I agree with the PP, casino boats are your best bet. There is one 4 hours away in Savannah that is only about 2 years old and is pretty nice.

HAHA, I am still laughing about the last post: Cherokee = time warp and walking around in a haze! So funny because that is so accurate! Thanks, that was great.

I cant even imagine legalizing that in North Carolina it took years of debate just to have a lottery.

And South Carolina Cracks me up with them flip flopping on video poker machines One year it is ok to have them then another year they are illegal and now I think they want to legalzie them again lol.

It would appear I stand corrected, never knew that Harrahs did not operate anything other than they do in Atlantic City.

I guess I will save my money then.

I guess a casino boat is your only option.
