If procedure is the same as Knox County, go to court and plead no contest. With a clean record, the judge may dismiss the ticket granted court costs are immediately paid. Then again 22 over sounds like reckless driving, so you may need representation.

Each insurance company has its own rules about rates. The longer you are with the same company, the more likely of a first offense forgiveness without any adjustment to your premium.

Talk to your agent before deciding a course of action to follow. Most will steer you correctly.

In my county you can go directly up to the Court House and pay your ticket right away so you don't have to wait to go to court.
If you are a teen, chances are pretty good your premium might go up.
Slow down youngin......I'm the mother of a Teen Angel in heaven and I wouldn't want your mother to go through what I do

Take responsibility for your actions. Just pay the ticket and move on with your life.

I agree with Nonlocal and Mountainaire: take responsibility, pay the ticket, and slow down.

Learn your lesson, pay the fine and move on my friend....just move slower from here on out.

(You could ask the judge if they will allow you to go to traffic school instead of taking the point on your record, but you will still have to pay the fines. )

Not unless you tell your insurance company. When it's dismissed there's no record of it. Again, this is how it is in Knox County; not sure how it works here.
