Hello!

I am a Spanish PhD architect, temporarily living in Hoffman Estates, IL, until July 13, 2023.

I would like to visit Mies Van der Rohe's Farnsworth House, but it is not easy to get there by public transport. I wonder if someone have plans to visit the house soon, since in that case we could share the trip

Thank you very much

Kind regards

I suspect(as this app can be booked, even in rural areas) you could take Amtrak to Plano, IL, and then book an Uber from there to the Farnsworth House and back. But if the Amtrak schedule(which is 2 trains a day in each direction serving Plano) doesn't work, then you could do your Ubers to/from Aurora after you Metra out there.

Its too bad the proposed Metra Star line wasn't built, as that'd help suburb to suburb commutes. Going through i.e. West Chicago, Barrington, Lake Bluff, etc.
