The Wolcott Tap's Carolina wings are the best wings I've had in Chicago. Wolcott and Montrose.

Outside of the city, the Joique wings at Greenbush Brewery in Sawyer MI right over that border from Indiana, are excellent as well.

The Sassy wings at Crisp/Budacki's are good, HUGE, different.

Crosstown in Naperville is known for their wings as well.

I agree with your suggestion, of Crisp/Budacki's(which btw have the same owner between these 2 businesses, for those who don't know). I should really try Wolcott Tap sometime, and suspect I've been missing out not going there myself!

Wolcott Tap has really good food, all around. It's a staple of ours now.

The Carolina wings are the best. Above average nachos, we've never had anything there that was disappointing. And we are pretty discriminating when it comes to food.

Carolina wings? I'm intrigued. What makes a Carolina wing a Carolina wing?

It's a tangy, yellow, mustard/vinegar-based sauce. Like Carolina BBQ.

Just go eat them. Trust me.

Well, you haven’t steered me wrong yet. So I’ll definitely add it to my “must try” list.

Is there something I've recommended that worked out for you? Curious.

As for these wings, eat them in the restaurant rather than takeout. Much better that way.

No recommendations per se, but we have agreed on several quality local establishments, so I am confident that your recommendations are solid.

Have a happy Thanksgiving everybody!

OK this Wolcott Tap is a must try for me. I will be in town a while over Christmas and will go. Does anyone know if children are allowed? I tried calling but there not open yet.
