Thoughts on this? To me all three options sound pretty bad. Especially AH which is smack dab in northside Cub territory.

Soldier Field location would be great if they could demolish it and rebuild a new privately owned stadium. But playing in modern day Soldier Field would be a horrendous idea.

What do you all think of this? I think they should either stay put in Armour Square and build a new retro stadium across the street where the old park was, or build a brand new state of the art stadium along the lakefront facing the skyline.

I think both the Sox and Bears should focus on winning for once, instead of worrying about where to play and lose all the time.

But since that will never happen. Sure, why not build something on the lakefront facing the skyline. At least give fans something to enjoy while they are there

Staying at 35th or moving to United Center area makes the most sense (since Reinsdorf is owner of Bulls and Sox). You need easy el and highway access for a huge stadium and the parking lots can easily be developed while still playing in the old stadium until its completed. Lakefront and Soldier Field make no sense with them being such a pain to get to and Soldier not setup for modern baseball.

I'm surprised the Sox can move anywhere north of 35th. Thought the deal with the Cubs was to stay away from "their" territory.

Sox are a South Side institution & to move away from 35th would be a shame.

With Reinsdorf at 87 time to get new owners.

Combining this with the "is Chicago Boring" Neither team has a decent record. Combined you still get 1 champion every century.

Last I checked 2005 and 2016 are both in the 21st century

For the Cubs you get WS winners in 1907-1908-1916

For the White Sox you get 1906-1917-2005

Both clubs need to win 1 WS to equal their 20th century record.

Jerry should sell the team. He is 87 years old. The team is in the dumpster, and he's a multi-billionaire.

The contract ends in 6 years. Plenty of time to find a new ownership group, new sponsorship and right the ship.

I hope they can do it. Not confident. But it's possible. They'll never have the Cubs' level of popularity, but they don't need to. Just be your own thing. Their merch flies off the shelf, great look/branding. But ownership/management is terrible.

Yeah the Sox definitely aren’t moving, especially to the northside, soldier field, or AH.

Just bring Ozzie back. He'll whip those players into men.
