LSD is always a wonderful drive, especially on a weekend when you're not heading into work.

Sitting on the el, riding the purple line express downtown and into/around the loop. Those sights never got old to me.

I visited several times when I was younger and loved the museums, the planetarium and the aquarium.

I don't love the look of the L being raised, but it does offer a lovely view during the ride! So I guess it's not all bad.

Hmm, the smell of dead alewives floating belly up in Montrose harbor comes to mind.

All kidding aside, pizza pizza!; even way out in the burbs' you can find really good cracker crust tavern cut/deep dish.

I lived 9 years in a beautiful vintage building in Andersonville (east of Clark St) and I will always remember the charm of that neighborhood, particularly the greystones as well as the single family homes between Broadway and Glenwood. The brick alleys between Berwyn and Balmoral are the icing on the cake.

Now there's a late 60s-early 70s reference I hadn't heard in awhile!
