Hello,

I'm a 54 young minded single woman relocating for work in Forest Park area. No children, don't do night life or bars, love parks/outdoors, yoga, rec/fitness centers, water aeorbics, quaint/unique towns, diversity, farmers markets, organic foods and safety walking after dark. Love trees and open spaces. Despise shopping malls and only enter about twice per year.

I'm pretty laid back but hate traffic jams and spending more than 30 minutes commuting....the less the better. Reverse commutes to Forest Park would work.

Open to renting just about anything up to $1,400 per month, possibly more if I fall in love with something charming. 1-3 bedrooms. Don't really care for large corporate apartments and adore older places with character.

Need advice on area towns or townships.

Thanks all!!

Clifton and Northside probably your best bets, although walking safely after dark may be something you'd need to sacrifice from your list in either neighborhood depending on what your definition of "safe" is. Clifton will be a little pricier than Northside, and a little longer commute. Pretty sure you could make a reverse commute to Forest Park within or about at your half hour limit, though.

Check out Greenhills. The rental selection will be limited, but as far as parks and green space are concerned it can't be beat as it borders the premiere Hamilton County park, Winton Woods. Also, it's right next to Forest Park, so your commute would be fantastic. We lived there for two years, and it is a very safe community. I would not feel unsafe walking after dark. The village has it's own police, fire department, golf course and swimming pool, which are very high quality but be sure to check out the tax rates.

What about Sharonville, near Sharon Woods? Quite a lovely park. Otherwise I'd say loveland (with the bike path on the river, it's a hub for outdoor-minded folk in this region).

Northside/Clifton (suggested above) are both more urban neighborhoods, though there are plenty of trees; they are more "hip" up and coming neighborhoods with more focus on street life.

Glendale is a really quaint/beautiful neighborhood, you might be able to find some rentals there. Nice sidewalks, some small parks in the neighborhood, quick drive to Sharon Woods (for more extensive walks).

There are some nice smaller towns (quaint, etc..) that you might like, but you're going to be pushing that 1/2 hour commute. Lebanon is walkable in the core, quaint, historic, out in the farms North of Cinci, but it's 1/2 hour for me to the edge of WestChester/Hamilton; I think you'll be closer to a 45 min. commute into Forest Park. It's East Side (off 71) - so maybe there are towns similar to that on the West Side that I'm unfamiliar with. Delhi, or Cheviot perhaps?
