Looking for opinions on Lakota Local Schools. They seem highly ranked but the school board seems very political and divisive. Are there better options? A similar area with more community minded cohesiveness?
Housing costs make the area attractive.
Thanks!

I'm a fan of Sycamore Community Schools and Mason City Schools.

Average home listings will be a little bit more expensive in both districts however.

Care to share your housing budget/preferences?

Lakota Schools are fine in my opinion. But if you have concerns, I would agree that Mason and Sycamore are similar districts that could suffice. Unfortunately, with the vitriol in life these days, the divisiveness and recklessness of certain elected officials can pop up almost anywhere. In Lakota's case, the entire board is held hostage by the antics of one member.

If you can provide a rough budget and housing expectations, that may also help us help you in finding a place similar to Lakota.
