Lake Havasu is brain dead frat/sorority land (especially over spring break), although I guess you could say they party hard.

Lake Tahoe has a little of that but generally is much more dynamic and interesting, in my opinion. Also, if you like snowboarding or skiing it's an awesome place to be. Do you like snow? Tahoe also has casinos and is close to Reno - which is trashy but also kind of fun every once in a while. Much better marijuana if you're into that, as well.

I've never been to Crater Lake so can't speak to it.
