We have closed on a home in Norris and are packing up and leaving the Atlanta area. My husband is a carpenter specializing in stairs....wooden, curved and wrought iron. Also finish and trim carpenter.

We should be in Norris in the next two weeks. If anyone can post leads on employment, it would be appreciated.

thanks
Kathy L......

Congratulations!!!!

Here is a link to tricities jobs. I put in carpentry and several came up. I'm sure there are other ways to look up the specialties that your husband has, but I don't know what they are.

Welcome Home!!!
Norris is next to Knoxville, not the Tri Cities, so I don't know if that link will be too helpful. But it was nice of you to post it anyway!

To the OP: Congratulations! Norris is a lovely little community in a beautiful setting, as I'm sure you already know.

What kinds of jobs are you going to be looking for?

That is so great to hear that we have a real skilled craftsman in our midst, Kathy! I will definitely be keeping you in mind in the NEAR (I hope.) future.

I love a man who knows how to construct nice stair treads. And, you who know me know that that is no joke!!

He didn't bother checking on employment-------before--you moved?

Must be nice to move --first---and --later--- start asking about a job.

Not jealous---------more power to you if you are financially able to move without an income lined up.

we had been checking jobs there for a long time.......My Son and his family live there. Actually my husband went to work the day after we closed on the house. But with a sub-contractor, you always are lining up work. We just need to network a bit........He will probably be coming up there real soon and I'll stay in GA to get this house ready for sale.
Will be glad to send resume and pictures of his work if anyone wants them.

thanks folks

Kathy
