Hi,

I will be taking the 9:40 pm train from syracuse to cleveland which will reach cleveland at 4 am at 200 Cleveland Memorial Shoreway Cleveland, OH 44114.

How safe is it in the station and going around with luggage to nearby taxi service?

Also can anyone please let me know of any cab service there?

Thanks
Nilesh

Why wouldn't it be? It's downtown. Not exactly a bad area. Other people do it too. I think the better question, given recent events in the last few weeks, would be "is it safe to ride trains in America?"

You could just call one of several cabs like 216-881-1111. You could probably just walk, downtown Cleveland is not that far spread out. The area is very safe. Where are you exactly going.

Just call a cab ahead of time. That train station is really tiny, but there is a small waiting area inside with a good view of the parking lot. Also, be prepared for the possibility that Amtrak will be late. (It was for me when I made that exact same trip)

One more thing: try to be more a little more discreet about your whereabouts. We don't need exact addresses and times. (Just lookin out...)

He has nothing to worry about. Do you really think people are stalking city data checking out where people are going? C'mon now! You could probably walk there if want Nilesh, it would take about 20 minutes or so.

I'm not claiming that people regularly stalk CD. I am suggesting that crazier things have happened and that a touch of prudence is always helpful when talking about your whereabouts in public (eg, 4 AM = very early in the morning, exact address = downtown or near playhouse square). He can always ignore my advice, after all.
