Thanks for that link.

For me and for now, these items have more sentimental value than monetary. Maybe my imagination is a bit too much, but they kind of tell a story of a different, almost bittersweet yet less complicated place and time. There could come a point, though, when they might end up being for sale... we'll see.

no problema...I have been along dealing in Antiques on a PT basis for over 40 years...mostly furniture, buying selling restoring.

The heydays for us were the 1970's when the 'boomers' and hippies all wanted funky old Oak and Walnut pieces.
When we bought the furniture, the drawers would be filled with little treasures like your Silver forks.
The owners would tell us 'just take the junk'

On the purchase of a nice Eastlake Desk we bought for 150 dollars, we sold the desk for 325.00 and made an additional 935.00 on the contents..carnival glass, two rare childrens books, Victorian 'tear ' vials, mesh silver woman's clutch bags etc.
That kind of profit didn't happen every week, but it did happen with some regularity.

In need of a good cleaning or polishing, of course.

Hope these can be considered antiques, this stuff was all from my grandparents.
Just because something is old, doesn't make it valuable. I would just enjoy them knowing that they were your grandparents.
