Having been an avid cribbage player for many years, I find that some hobbyists even collect old cribbage boards. Never expected that to be a collecting hobby so it surprised me. In fact some are not even cribbage players at all and yet they collect cribbage boards. I don't understand them. In fact, at a cribbage website, there is an article on cribbage board collecting in which the writer said that efforts are under way to write a Price-Guide on old cribbage boards.
So does anybody else here collect old cribbage boards?
The first time I learned Cribbage was back in the 1970s when I had relocated to a different town. One day while walking in the downtown area,I chanced to walk past a Homeless center. For some reason, somebody invited me in. Inside I saw people playing Checkers and Dominos. Then I also saw some playing a card game which used a unique peg-board. That was of course Cribbage because the game includes the use of a peg board. I was interested in learning, so somebody taught me. Afterwards I went to the Homeless center practically every day to play Cribbage. It was just like a country club to me.
