I have 9 Morgan silver dollars ranging from 1880-1888 plus one 1921, and a Peace dollar 1924.

I know I can get melt value for them at around $20 each but I have a couple that I think might be worth $30 each to a collector. FB Marketplace does not allow coins to be sold on their platform. If I go to a coin dealer, and they are worth $30 to a collector he will offer me less than that. Any legit online places to sell coins?

Get a coin red book and make sure you check the mintage, condition, and suggested value for each coin. The 1921 is the most heavily minted and lowest valued Morgan- not related to direct silver value content.

you’ll likely get top dollar on eBay, but then you have to account for the 11% or so fee they take (plus the 2.9% that Paypal takes).

Hope that helps, grade is everything when it comes to collector value; and of course rarity/minting errors.

Probably the best place to sell them is eBay but there are fees with eBay.

A local auction may work, too but most auction houses will charge you commission (like eBay does).

There is always Craigslist which is free.

I would recommend a coin dealer, most of those coins in average condition should be worth about $30 ea. as OP mentioned and the coin dealer most likely will offer you about $20/coin, so that would be $180. Ask yourself if you want to let them go for $180 plus or minus a little, but don't accept much lower would be my suggestion and a coin dealer will be pay you cash on the spot after he/she inspects them.

You can use this to grade your coins:
https://www.pcgs.com/photograde#/Dollars

Also the earlier link for pricing is for purchasing certified coins. Raw coins would bring less, and you would be selling which will drop the price even more. At least you'll have a ball park figure for the price.

You could try a pawn shop. Not sure if that would be better or worse then a coin dealer.

You could also check on coin clubs in your area and you may be able to sell them to one of the members.

Good luck.
