Beautiful, vintage (delft?) ewer/hanap/pitcher. Porcelain or ironstone. Looks hand painted.
Could be worth some $

Similar wide spout:

The fact that it says on the bottom that it's not for food use indicates to me that it's not very old. Didn't they start adding that warning back when they discovered that lead paint in things was dangerous, the seventies or eighties I think?

As I said, it has been in her home for at least 20 years. I really don't care about the age of it - not looking to sell it as some pricey antique. Just had never seen one like it. But I don't go browsing through knick-knack shelves at thrift and antique stores either. Not my bag. But she loved to do that.

Definitely not Delft (which is made in Netherlands). She actually has a nice Delft plate on the wall, that I bought her when I was in Amsterdam. I might keep that.

Yes it is pretty - sort of delicate looking.

Oh, not disputing the age at all, just noting that it's probably not very valuable, unless something from the eighties or so is now vintage enough to be worthwhile (in which case I suddenly feel OLD, lol)

I agree; not old, not valuable. Not Delft.

Gosh I don't care if it is valuable. My goodness. And I already know it is not Delft - I have bought Delft in the country it is made in.

This piece is MADE IN CHINA. CLEARLY not Delft LOL.

Hey, we are just guessing. Eliminating possibilities. I didn't see the "Not for food" or Made in China info. My bad.
It's a nice pitcher. You keep it or not...
