Do those bug killing plug in lights work on moths?

If you can restrain yourself from killing them, they are very important pollinators as well as food for birds, etc., - so if you can, just get them back outside.

So far, all the moths I've seen have been outside - hiding under every plant pot, saucer and whatever else they can find to conceal themselves. None in the house as of yet ... but when I encounter any indoors, I ignore - it's usually at night when the lights are on, and unless one flies into my mouth, they're welcome to hang around. No catch and release, because I'd probably fall if I tried to do that.

Oh, but I was lucky enough to see one of those hummingbird moths flitting among my irises yesterday. They're so interesting and fun to observe.

The Western Tanagers at my house have been absolutely feasting on them. They catch them both inflight and on the ground; fascinating to watch!!

The number now stands at 22. Came across a dead one at my front door yesterday morning, and killed one in my bathroom this morning.

If you're getting a lot of moths in your house, that might be a sign to look into how they're getting in - you may need to update your weather stripping, close windows or doors, etc.

I killed another moth in the bathroom not too long ago. It was the first moth in my house, in exactly a week. Hopefully, it is the last one. Now the number is at 23.
