I am a professional person with a family wishing to move to the area around Pagosa Springs. Can anyone tell me about available short and long term housing in that area?
Also, the weather is a concern for my wife and and both of us are concerned about the local school district. We are in an area of Texas where the local school is poor, both financially and in performance, and seek something better for our son.

thanks

Default Pagosa

DocWylie, some links to help you are below. Pagosa will get more snow then Durango, Bayfield or Cortez but it has over 300 days of sunshine so the roads stay clear after they plow it, people don't have trouble getting around. The sun melts it off the roads. Summers and falls are perfect. It is a nice small city. The thermal hot springs are really nice in the winter too! Lots of information on the links below. Hope this helps.

Well... 300 days of sun.. and possibly 300 days of clouds, too. <grin> The weather here is changeable.
Housing is affordable and plentiful.
Winters are cold and Spring is a long time coming. That said, it a beautiful place to live. I've written more here: https://www.city-data.com/forum/color...ings-co-3.html
