True, but I have never seen it like this before. The weatherman said this is the warmest stretch since 1923.

Golf course I live on is still watering the grass, haven't done their sprinkler blowouts. The fairways look like its still September. This is way beyond unusual, probably won't see a fall like this again in our lifetimes. Or maybe its the new normal, who knows?

I don’t remember that stretch, but Dave Barnes does.

Same here in Phoenix, second warmest November on record, every day above average by up to 12 degrees. Heating not on yet.

The entire US has a high pressure pocket of warm air over it, which is supposed to last for another week or 2. It's not just yall in CO, basically everywhere has had a beautiful and prolonged fall this year.

I'm a fan of global warming. I can't find the article now, but according to measurements, we've been gaining like 2 hours of additional leave time per year, which has added up to like fall being about 2 weeks later now than it was in the 50s. From an ecological perspective, this is huge, think of the world over, how much more growth is occurring now than was back then due to the growing season extending.

Vulcan dendrochronologists surveying the formerly-inhabited 3rd planet from that star, have reached the hypothesis that some form of climate change occurred millennia ago. Growth rings of ancient deposits of kudzu, tumbleweed & salt cedar show unusual elongation of growing seasons. /sarchasm?

Yep. The heat's pretty useless if it just keeps getting drier. I keep wondering if by the time I'm in my 80's Colorado might look more like Nevada.

Hey, it's an accolade in standup.

That wasn't meant as a personal jab. It's just that 'change' always goes through three phases:
  1. "OMG, what's happening, Henry?"
  2. "Boy, it happened again."
  3. "You're such a baby, wishing for the old days."

ABC news has a good analysis of our weather this fall:
Denver waits to receive its first measurable snow of the 2021 winter season

Quote:
Denver is making weather history this year as the city patiently waits to receive its first measurable snow of the 2021 winter season. This is the latest the city has ever waited for snow, according to the National Weather Service. . .
Good summary, though I don't think that I'd describe the city as waiting patiently.

Coastal viewpoint. A riot in Denver is eclipsed by your typical NY/LA Starbucks line.
