On Saturday, JetBlue 1748 from HDN to FLL had to divert to DIA after a tailstrike incident during takeoff. The pilot had to take evasive action after seeing a Beech 300 coming in for a landing from the opposite direction. The pilot was initially unaware of the tailstrike and only diverted after ground crew at the airport notified Denver Center of the incident.

HDN has no tower. Pilots are supposed to use the Common Traffic Advisory Frequency to coordinate takeoffs and landings themselves. Will be interesting to see what becomes of this.

As for the plane, it's sitting at DIA with "serious damage."
