Anyone know what is going in old Toys R Us building? Saw construction today on it.

Supposedly Burlington Coat Factory. A waste if you ask me. Home Goods would be a nice addition. Hopefully Columbus lands one. Crazy we haven’t.

Crazy we don't also have Belk, the Sears location would have been perfect for them, yet it's just been sitting there unoccupied for ages. A while back I heard someone on here mention someone wanting to put in an entertainment venue with go-karts was interested but that was quite some time ago.

I agree that Belk would be a perfect fit - especially in Columbus. I would love to know why they never opened a store in the area.

Belk is having some financial challenges at the corporate level. I don't expect them to be opening any new stores, much less entering new markets anytime soon. I halfway expect them to shutter some of their stores in smaller markets.
