We are relocating to Columbus in May, my husband has orders for a 3 year duty at DSCC. We are moving from Phoenix, AZ. We have been looking for rentals. We have found a few rentals in Blacklick and Pickerington. Can anyone tell me about these areas. Are they safe, friendly, how is the grade schools. Any other info will be appreciated.

Thanks

Blacklick is pretty safe, although parts of Broad Street can be a little seedy (but that's becoming less of an issue with the constant development)

Pickerington would be your best bet I believe. Its such a quaint, safe, and friendly town. Very nice people.

I would second Pickerington. Blacklick is a little shady. Pickerington has nice neighborhoods and good schools, although they just recently made some major cuts in their budget. But overall it is a friendly, affordalbe community and it's close to downtown.

make sure you are in the part of blacklick that goes to either reynoldsburg, licking heights, new albany-plain or gahanna-jefferson schools not columbus public
