When I first heard about this yesterday and reading through articles I was like huh a “high school” played 19 and 20 year olds against high schoolers? and then the coach has a active arrest warrant, what’s crazy is every high school in Ohio and out of state played them last year and IMG who beat them last year and beat them badly on Sunday and nobody knew about the school expect the opponents. So my question to the people of Ohio did any of you’ll know about this school before it became a big story? Did you know someone who’s son played against them?

Bishop Sycamore appears to be a traveling football team and not a school. Their source of financial support would be interesting. And it would be interesting to know why Ohio football powers such as Cleveland St. Ignatius even scheduled them. Apparently, many school athletic directors do minimal due diligence.

I wonder if schools were well compensated to play Bishop Sycamore. Otherwise, I don't understand why they would schedule such a program.

Apparently, and this explanation actually makes sense, Bishop Sycamore was a creation of the COVID epidemic when schools struggled to find opponents in 2020, apparently after cancellations by scheduled opponents. Bishop Sycamore likely will be verboten as an opponent of Ohio high schools in the future given the current scandal.

BTW, if there are actually kids who left real high schools for this program, Ohio's Department of Education should come under scrutiny.
