I have an older projector that only has outputs for vga and s-video. I need to connect it to an all-in-one pc with an adapter/converter for either HDMI or usb. I will only be using it for photo slide shows so I don't need audio. Hoping someone can recommend the product and method that will be the least expensive...
There are lots of HDMI to VGA cables on the market. I have one and keep it in my laptop bag and use it when giving PowerPoint presentations to clients. You don't need a converter box unless you need audio.
Apple makes a great cable, but like all Apple products, it's expensive. Best Buy has several on their Web site, but the cheaper ones tend to have low consumer ratings. It may be a case of getting what you pay for.
If it's just a one-time use you can probably get away with a cheap cable.
Awesome, thanks! I wasn't sure about the HDMI to VGA cable because as you said, they got such poor ratings. Heading back to Amazon now, thanks for your help!
