I recently purchase an Amazon fire tv. I was told by Best Buy that I could sync apps to the tv and it would give me a cable like tv feel. The guy at Best Buy said he only knew of Pluto Tv to sync. Are there any other apps that can sync to it? I have tried Google but have come up with nothing. So any help on what additional apps work would be appreciated.

Pluto pretty much consolidates a bunch of free stuff from YouTube. There are better options (this form someone that likes Pluto).

Service and who owns them:

Crackle (Sony) My #1. Ridiculous amount of content. Check out "The Chosen" Season 1. Season 2 not as good but ok.
FreeVee (formerly IMDB, owned by Amazon now)
Tubi Tv (independent I think)
Peacock has a free tier (NBC)
Sling TV has a free tier (Direct TV)

"Sync"? You download the apps to the TV via the interface. There are many many apps that you can use. Some are free, some require a subscription.
