We need something for our living room to protect from kids throwing toys and such and accidentally hitting the screen. We do not want the protective screen to hurt picture quality

Maybe it would be better to move the expensive TV to a room the children don't use and put a cheaper TV in the room they do use until they learn not to destroy expensive TVs.

The one I linked you to above will do just that.

Looks like those shield protectors are more expensive than a TV.

Because it's meant for outside and to be weatherproof.

OP there is no such thing for indoor use especially for something that large. Teach your children to be careful around the TV. What kind of hellions are you raising?

Exactly.

I know you dont want to hear this, OP, but as the dad of two toddler boys (who are just as destructive, if not more, than the next boys), I think you're asking the wrong question(s).

Personally, in our homes, we rotate older TVs into the play rooms when we get new ones. There is no toy throwing near expensive furniture, tvs, art, etc.

And as someone who HAS had a TV broken by a child that was visiting my home... I'm glad it was only a $299 55" TCL Roku TV that her mom had no problem being able to replace.
I was never worried about my child breaking it.
Now I have a $1,000 OLED there.
